About The Position

The Packaging Support I supports Honey Green's Packaging and Final Assembly operations. Learns standardized work and completes assigned tasks with regular direction and verification. The role prepares compliant finished goods for release to finished inventory while protecting product identity, package accuracy, quality, and presentation. Packaging team members may cross-support Flower Processing & QC when trained and assigned.

Requirements

21 years of age or older and able to obtain and maintain any Missouri cannabis facility credential required for the position.
Ability to understand and follow written SOPs, work instructions, safety requirements, sanitation practices, and documentation standards.
Ability to communicate clearly, work effectively with others, and raise questions or concerns promptly when work, safety, quality, or compliance is unclear.
Demonstrated reliability, attention to detail, and ability to perform repetitive hands-on work at a consistent pace.
No prior cannabis or packaging experience is required; willingness and ability to learn weighing, filling, sealing, labeling, boxing, sanitation, material handling, and basic quality checks are required.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in packaging, manufacturing, food production, warehousing, cannabis, assembly, quality, or another hands-on work environment is helpful but not required.
Familiarity with scales, labels, basic production tools, sanitation, counting, or production records is helpful but may be learned on the job.

Responsibilities

Execute assigned packaging and final-assembly workflows for cannabis products, which may include flower, pre-rolls, cartridges/vapes, concentrates, and edibles.
Weigh, fill, seal, cap, label, box, and stage products using approved specifications, work instructions, and packaging equipment appropriate to the assigned line.
Perform in-process checks for weight tolerance, fill level, seal integrity, label placement, batch/lot accuracy, package condition, and presentation; stop or escalate work when requirements are not met.
Complete production counts, material usage, label reconciliation, packaging-material inventory, and required inventory/track-and-trace records accurately.
Perform line setup, changeover, cleaning, sanitation, and shutdown activities and promptly report equipment malfunctions, material shortages, or quality concerns.
Support Flower Processing & QC quality and finishing activities when trained and assigned, while maintaining Packaging as the primary assignment.
Complete assigned tasks using approved methods and seek clarification when instructions, quality criteria, or documentation requirements are unclear.
Build proficiency in required tools, equipment, sanitation practices, records, and material-handling expectations through structured training and coaching.
Perform basic manual packaging tasks such as counting, staging, placing product/components, boxing, labeling support, cleanup, and material replenishment after training.
Learn product-format, label, packaging-component, and line-clearance requirements and stop work when product identity or instructions cannot be confirmed.
Inspect packaging materials for visible damage, incorrect components, missing labels, or other obvious defects and segregate questionable material for review.
Maintain organized workstations and return unused labels, components, and product to designated locations at changeover or shift end.
Maintain reliable and punctual attendance; report ready to work for the scheduled shift and follow established scheduling, break, call-off, and timekeeping expectations.
Wear, inspect, and properly use all required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow task-specific safety procedures, equipment safeguards, ergonomic practices, emergency procedures, and required training.
Follow approved SOPs, work instructions, quality standards, facility security requirements, cannabis regulations, and required inventory or track-and-trace documentation applicable to assigned work.
Maintain sanitation, housekeeping, hygiene, and cross-contamination controls appropriate to the work area and protect products, equipment, data, and controlled-access spaces from preventable contamination, damage, or loss.
Promptly report injuries, near misses, unsafe conditions, equipment concerns, product-quality issues, documentation errors, inventory discrepancies, security concerns, and potential compliance deviations through the appropriate escalation path.
