About The Position

The Packaging Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily packaging operations, ensuring products are packaged efficiently, safely, and according to Wineshipping quality standards. This role coordinates workflow, maintains productivity targets, and ensures compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. Requirements

At least 4 years’ experience in a warehouse.
Previous supervisor experience.
Familiarity with shipping practices and handling methods.
Able to work well independently or as a member of a team, with minimal supervision.
Possess basic math skills, understand written/verbal procedures, ability to read/write/speak English.
Minimum high school diploma, GED, or equivalent education.
Experience with performance metrics, process improvement, and Lean techniques.
Experience with a contingent workforce during peak seasons.
Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations.

Good attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.
Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.

Previous Scan gun capabilities a plus.
Forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead the daily packaging crew and keep the workflow cruising smoothly.
Make sure every item is packed accurately, neatly, and right on schedule.
Keep an eye on productivity and help the team stay efficient and energized.
Prioritize tasks based on shipping deadlines and what the operation needs most.
Ensure everything we pack matches the approved packaging standards.
Keep packaging quality high and consistent—no shortcuts allowed.
Inspect finished packages to catch any errors, damage, or mix-ups.
Investigate packaging hiccups and get to the root of any issues fast.
Monitor supplies (boxes, trays, inserts, ice packs, labels—everything!) so we never run short.
Coordinate refills and keep packaging materials flowing.
Make sure materials are used wisely and stored properly.
Cut down on waste and help us save time, money, and materials.
Ensure equipment is used safely and correctly—no exceptions.
Maintain tidy, organized work areas that make Marie Kondo proud.
Track productivity and performance metrics to keep us on target.
Partner with Operations, Customer Success, and other teams to keep everything in sync.
Support improvement projects to help the team work smarter, not harder.
Jump into improvement projects and help us level up how we do things. This includes performing customer-specific services at special handling stations. Tasks vary by client (e.g., hand-rolling bottles in tissue, custom box builds, wax dipping).
Pitch in wherever needed because teamwork makes the dream work.
Be reliably present and punctual, keeping things on track and on time.
