This position requires full-time onsite work (5 days per week) in West Henrietta, NY and is not eligible for relocation assistance. Job Summary: Provide strategic leadership for the Packaging teams, focusing on key performance indicators (KPIs), customer service excellence, process optimization, and cost efficiency, including scrap reduction. Under general direction, oversee all shift activities and manage departmental documentation related to Packaging/SSP operations.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership and management experience
  • Knowledge of key operational and Management Systems for example Baan, Redzone and Tableau
  • Able to support the whole team reducing and eliminating process waste and implementing changes.
  • Ability to practice a high level of confidentiality
  • Experience within a Distribution / Packaging / Warehouse Operational environment
  • Proven experience in leading external audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Demonstrate knowledge of budgeting and financial requirements
  • High school degree required.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve KPIs including on-time delivery. (99%)
  • Accountable for monitoring Redzone and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  • Monitor and manage team performance, adjusting as necessary to meet business objectives.
  • Supervise and engage with team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and customer service excellence.
  • Ensure lean manufacturing principles are applied consistently across all operations.
  • Maintain close collaboration with all departments to support overall business goals.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, encouraging team collaboration and open communication.
  • Conduct thorough investigations of NCR’s (non-conformance report) and QFB’s (quality feedback) to determine root cause and implement necessary process and training improvements.
  • Ensure that shift objectives as specified by your Line Manager are achieved within the specified time frames.
  • In conjunction with the Department Manager, design strategies in line with the operational VMOST to further advance the department and the wider business.
  • Promote a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement by working closely with the Continuous Improvement team.
  • Maintain awareness of the department's operational, budgetary, and financial responsibilities and activities, while actively promoting a cost-saving philosophy.
  • Ensure that the shift objectives outlined by your Line Manager are met within the designated time frames.
  • Review all aspects of the department to ensure compliance with company and departmental procedures.
  • Participate in internal and external audits as required to ensure compliance to relevant SOX(Sarbanes Oxley), ISO(International Organization for Standardization) and FDA(United States Food and Drug Administration) requirements.
  • Manage the preparation and maintenance of reports necessary to carry out the functions of the department.
  • Prepare monthly reports for management, as necessary or requested, to track strategic goal accomplishment.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of all relevant employee relations procedures, including absence management, disciplinary actions, grievances, recruitment, and inductions.
  • Coordinate with the Human Resources Department as needed to ensure appropriate outcomes.
  • Conduct performance reviews with your direct reports and establish objectives as needed.

Benefits

  • The starting base pay for this role is between $62,265.00 and $88,950.00 per year and may include cost of living adjustments.
  • This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits.
