About The Position

Our Sales Trainee will learn Veritiv’s full sales lifecycle and support the sales team with generating new leads within a designated region or industry. This role will also focus on maintaining customer relationships, increasing revenue from existing accounts and provide specific solutions and quotes. This position requires a competitive and motivated spirit with the drive to solve problems.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in new sales/business development.
  • Ability to use and create customer presentations, quotes, proposals, value logs, etc.
  • Ability to create and maintain strong relations with customers.
  • Ability to work independently, successfully manage accounts, work under pressure, and adapt to changes in the work environment is essential.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong planning and organization skills are required.
  • The ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Packaging experience preferred but not required.
  • 2+ years related experience preferred
  • High School Diploma/GED Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Generate new leads by researching networking, cold calling, and prospecting.
  • Increase revenue and profitability through the generation of new business and further development of existing accounts.
  • Execute sales initiatives to grow sales and profitability within accounts.
  • Assist clients in establishing sustainable packaging supply chains.
  • Understand complex requirements from customers for preparation of packaging solutions and quotes.
  • Manage customer projects in various industries such as Food, Technology, Healthcare, Automotive, Industrial, etc.
  • Educate clients on the latest innovations within our industry.
