About The Position

Performs a variety of duties to receive, distribute, assemble and store finished goods into sales warehouse or customer locations as directed. Will also perform materials receipt, disbursement and related activities as directed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to learn and adhere to specific procedures according to the department training plan.
  • Willingness and ability to work with Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIVs), including the use of safety gloves and motorized pallet jacks
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced and occasionally high-pressure environment
  • Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate and interact positively with co-workers to achieve company goals
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to learn and follow instructions
  • Capability to meet physical job requirements, including standing, sitting, and walking for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing approximately 16–30 lbs

  • Six months or more of work experience in a manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

  • Picks finished goods throughout the warehouse as required by sales order ship lists.
  • Processes goods and supplies including unpacking, verifying, labeling, and distributing to appropriate location.
  • Fills requisitions for goods and materials.
  • Maintains and verifies accounting records for supplies received and dispensed.
  • Coordinates appropriate shipping companies/departments when shipping items and educates user departments regarding shipping requirements.
  • Assists in preparing shipping foods and relevant equipment.
  • Uses/operates miscellaneous material handling equipment (dollies, pallet jack, forklift) to move materials.
  • Performs physical inventories and cycle counts.
  • Maintains the record of wait delivery requests and notifies the appropriate department supervisor of material and/or goods that are not on schedule.
  • Maintain the logbooks up to date for optimum material flow.
  • Makes inquiries of inventory to ensure adequate supplies are on hand.
  • Reports shortages to supervisor.
  • Performs other related material handling activities including maintaining proper documentation of all incoming and outgoing materials and keeping physical inventories.
  • Exercises care in handling materials.
  • Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level.
  • Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Performs other duties assigned as needed.
