Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Capable of lifting 55 pounds.
  • Able to stand for a minimum of 12 hours.
  • Able to work with multiple types of equipment simultaneously.
  • High cleanliness standards for the machines and work area.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 lbs., frequently lift and/or move up to 38 lbs., and occasionally lift and/or move or push/pull up to 55 lbs.
  • Act in a safe and environmentally responsible manner at all times by adhering to all ALPLA policies and procedures and Safety Standards (OSHA).

Nice To Haves

  • 6 months of manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, maintain, troubleshoot multiple types of packaging equipment (carton erectors, partition inserters, product inserters, foil dispensers, top closers, palletization equipment).
  • Perform manual responsibilities including loading, building and making boxes, and hand packaging of bottles and labels.
  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance.
  • Load/unload packaging materials such as corrugate, containers or other raw materials.
  • Accurately document records of finished goods, packaging specifications, or any visual quality checks.
  • Perform changeovers of various packaging equipment (e.g., case erector, partition inserter, top sealer).
  • Apply correct labels.
  • Perform quality checks, including visual inspection of product, labels, and packaging integrity for defects.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards.
  • Perform Autonomous Maintenance.
  • Maintain a labeling accuracy rate of 100%.
  • Perform all required quality checks with 100% completion and accuracy, identifying and reporting any defects per standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure line clearance accuracy.
  • Complete autonomous maintenance tasks.
