Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Min. 6 months of manufacturing experience preferred
- Capable of lifting 55 pounds and to stand for a minimum of 12 hours
- Able to work with multiple types of equipment simultaneously
- High cleanliness standards for the machines and work area
- The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, push and pull, reach with hands and arms and very occasionally to climb or balance.
- The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
- The employee is occasionally required to sit.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 lbs., frequently lift and/or move up to 38 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move or push /pull up to 55 lbs.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
- It is required to act in a safe and environmentally responsible manner at all times by adhering to all ALPLA policies and procedures and Safety Standards (OSHA).
Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, troubleshoot multiple types of packaging equipment. Equipment may include, but is not limited to: -carton erectors -partition inserters -product inserters (MPV, VPM, PLU) -foil dispensers -top closers -palletization equipment
- Manual responsibilities include: -loading, building and making boxes -hand packaging of bottles -loading labels
- Maintenance includes: -perform routine cleaning, and minor maintenance of equipment to ensure smooth operations
- Material Handling: -Loading/unloading packaging materials such as corrugate, containers or other raw materials
- Documentation: -Accurately document records of finished goods, packaging specifications, or any visual quality checks
- Perform changeover’s of divers packaging equipment (eg case erector, partition inserter, top sealer, …)
- Applies correct labels
- Perform quality check consisting of visual inspection of overall product, labels and packaging integrity for defects
- Housekeeping
- Perform Autonomous maintenance
- Labeling Accuracy: Maintains a labeling accuracy rate of 100% by consistently following all labeling procedures without deviation.
- Quality Control Compliance: Performs all required quality checks with 100% completion and accuracy, identifying and reporting any defects per standard operating procedures.
