About The Position

Barilla is hiring Packaging Operators to join its pasta packaging team in Ames, Iowa. During each shift, operators are primarily responsible for loading packaging materials onto packaging machines, performing quality checks, and making mechanical adjustments as needed. The role follows a flexible 2-2-3 shift pattern, meaning employees work about half the days in a month, and requires availability to work every other weekend. Pay is $24.84 for day shift and $27.32 for night shift, including a 10% shift differential.

Requirements

• Previous work experience in production or food manufacturing.
• General working knowledge of computers.
• Availability to work every other weekend as part of the regular schedule.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and good manufacturing practices (GMPs).
• Knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and related supporting programs such as cleaning, sanitation, and pest management.
