About The Position

Pure's is seeking a Packaging Operator to work on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts. This role is responsible for operating and maintaining packaging machinery, ensuring efficient production line operation, and adhering to quality control and sanitation procedures. The operator will also be responsible for maintaining a clean work area, observing safety and GMP guidelines, and collaborating with team members. This position plays a crucial role in manufacturing and distributing safe and quality food products.

Requirements

  • Experience with operating and maintaining machines.
  • Experience ensuring the entire production line is running efficiently.
  • Ability to work in a standing position for the entire shift, including climbing steps and ladders.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays, and assist in other departments.
  • Setup machines, perform basic troubleshooting, load films, adjust settings, and monitor operations for efficiency.
  • Monitor and assist with upstream/downstream equipment to ensure continuous operation.
  • Follow packaging schedules, quality control procedures, and sanitation guidelines related to weights, packs, descriptions, Best Buy dates, cleanup, and changeovers.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Clean machines and work area properly during and after production runs or changeovers.
  • Observe all plant safety, GMP, and allergen procedures and attend relevant training.
  • Assist in other departments as needed.
  • Manufacture, distribute, and consistently maintain safe and quality food by following good manufacturing practices, allergen controls, food defense, HACCP, and SQF requirements.
  • Immediately report all food safety and quality issues to your supervisor.
  • Collaborate with others by sharing knowledge, skills, and information within the team and across functional areas.
  • Enhance technical and functional competencies, as well as professional and leadership development.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Follow supervisor's directives and support the shift team as needed.
