This role involves operating and maintaining packaging machines, ensuring the entire production line runs efficiently, and adhering to strict quality control, sanitation, and safety procedures.

Requirements

Must have experience with operating and maintaining the machines and ensuring the entire production line is running efficiently.

Mathematical skills.
Bilingual is preferred.
Tracks performance data and communicates exceptions.

Responsibilities

Setup machines, conduct basic troubleshooting, loading, films, and settings.
Monitor machines to assure all is running efficiently.
Monitor and assist with equipment upstream/downstream to ensure continuous operation.
Follow packaging schedule, quality control, and sanitation procedures concerning weights, packs, descriptions, Best Buy dates, cleanup, and changeovers.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Clean machines and work area properly during and after production runs or changeovers.
Observe all plant safety, GMP, and allergen procedures and attend appropriate training sessions.
Assist in other departments.
Be responsible for manufacturing, distributing, and consistently maintaining safe and quality food by following good manufacturing practices, allergen controls, food defense, HACCP, and SQF requirements.
Immediately report all food safety and quality issues to your supervisor.
Collaborate with others; share knowledge, skills, and information within your team and across functional areas.
Enhance technical and functional competencies, as well as professional and leadership development.
Follow supervisor’s directives and support the shift team as needed.
