About The Position

As part of our Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) operations, the Packaging Operator plays a critical role in the final stages of pharmaceutical product manufacturing. This position is responsible for packaging finished products, operating packaging equipment, performing visual inspections, and ensuring products conform to established quality and regulatory specifications. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and committed to maintaining compliance within a GMP-regulated environment.

  • Ability to stand continuously for two or more hours.
  • Ability to safely operate material handling equipment and follow all safety procedures.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to work overtime as required to meet production demands.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or manufacturing industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Complete required training on gowning procedures and entry/exit protocols for designated production areas.
  • Perform packaging operations on packaging lines, including equipment setup, assembly, disassembly, preparation, and adjustments of labeling and packaging machinery.
  • Visually inspect labels, packaging components, and finished goods to ensure conformance to specifications and quality standards.
  • Manually label and package finished products according to specifications when automated machinery is unavailable.
  • Maintain accurate and complete batch records, forms, logbooks, and related documentation in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Ensure proper labeling, handling, and disposal of hazardous waste generated from packaging operations.
  • Assist team members in manufacturing areas as needed to support production goals.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment, including packaging equipment, tools, and workstations.
  • Adhere to all applicable SOPs, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), ISO requirements, and company policies.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
