About The Position
Deschutes Brewery, the 6th largest independent craft brewery in the United States, is seeking a full-time Packaging Machine Operator for its night shift. This role is crucial in operating the packaging line to fill kegs, cans, and bottles with their beverages. The position involves working with automated equipment, performing quality control checks (e.g., 'bottled on' dates, expiration dates, batch numbers), changing labels, and other production-related tasks. Requirements
- Eagerness and ability to learn specialty brewery equipment and machinery.
- Focused attention on training for safety and standard operating procedures.
- Experience in a team-based environment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Nice To Haves
- Previous manufacturing or production experience.
- Previous forklift experience.
Responsibilities
- Operate various pieces of automated equipment on the packaging line.
- Perform quality control checks for accuracy, including 'bottled on' dates, expiration dates, and batch numbers.
- Change bottle labels.
- Perform other tasks in a production environment.
