Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED, or one to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Ability to read and write simple English.
  • Must be able to stand; use hands or fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; walk, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell.
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires specific vision abilities, including close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust and stay focused.
  • Ability to work in rotating shifts and overtime.

Responsibilities

  • Perform labeling, packing, checking, palletizing, and other routine assignments based on appropriate work instructions or standard operating procedures.
  • Rotate to assist other teams, including chicken powder processing, filling, janitorial, mixing and cooking, packaging, and sanitation teams.
  • Carry out special duties assigned by Production Supervisors, Production Manager, and/or lead.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, GMPs, SSOPs, and HACCP.
  • Assist the line lead or supervisor in setting up production equipment.
  • Assist Production Supervisors or line lead in other activities when called upon.
