About The Position

This position involves packaging a variety of products according to customer specifications. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety procedures, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Employees are expected to participate in safety and health program activities, including reporting hazards and wearing required personal protective equipment. Duties may change or new ones may be assigned at any time.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Attendance/Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time.
• Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; maintains a clean and organized work environment.
• Quantity - Meets productivity standards; Completes work in timely manner; Strives to increase productivity.
• Safety - Observes all safety procedures and policies; Reports potentially unsafe conditions to supervisor; Uses equipment and materials properly.
• Basic Reading, writing and math skills
• Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Able to work accurately from verbal and written instructions

Responsibilities

• Reviews Work Orders to determine packaging requirements.
• Visually inspects product for defects and transfers defective items to the appropriate location.
• Manual weighing and counting of product.
• Loads product into packaging machines.
• Monitors machines for proper function.
• Unloads and visually inspects packaged product to ensure it meets quality standards.
• Places packaged product into boxes.
• Applies identification labels to boxes.
• Accurately completes departmental paperwork.
