About The Position

Barilla is seeking a Packaging Machine Operator to join their pasta manufacturing facility. This role is crucial for ensuring pasta products are packaged safely, accurately, and efficiently, playing a key part in the final stage of the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with automated equipment and contributing to a team that delivers quality food products to consumers nationwide.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Manufacturing or machine operating experience preferred
• Experience in food manufacturing is a plus
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor automated packaging equipment and production lines
• Perform machine set-ups, adjustments, and changeovers for different products and package sizes
• Inspect packaged products to ensure quality, coding accuracy, and proper sealing
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and escalate larger concerns as needed
• Conduct routine equipment checks and basic preventative maintenance tasks
• Accurately complete production and quality documentation
• Follow all food safety, GMP, quality, and workplace safety requirements
• Keep the work area clean and organized to support sanitation standards
• Work closely with maintenance, quality, and production teams to maximize line performance
