About The Position

This individual is responsible for packaging productions in appropriate bags with correct sell-by dates; at a rate this is profitable and efficient to meet department and company standards. Individual must setup and operate machine in a safe manner.

Requirements

Must be able to pick up 16 pounds repetitively.
Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Performing tasks as described and assigned by department Supervisor.
Working in a safe manner.
Ensuring product specifications are attained.
Performing job assignment in a cost conscious manner.
Striving to satisfy the requirements of internal and external customers.
Being at workstation on time each workday.
Working as a team player and communicating with other department members.
Ability to be flexible as to various job assignments and working conditions.
Following Good Manufacturing Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures, plant rules and policies.
Installing, removing, cleaning and re-taping of seal bars.
Straightening and aligning each bag on the seal bar.
Keeping pace with the line.
Adjusting line speed for various products.
Lubrication of 8600.
Starting and stopping the 8600 machine.
Set-up and tear-down/put-away.
Bringing problems with equipment to Supervisor or Lead Person.
Responsible for the 8600 machine.
Monitoring correct and legible sell-by dated product.
