About The Position

Skjodt-Barrett is seeking a Packaging Machine Operator for their food production plant in Lebanon, Indiana. This role is responsible for operating high-speed packaging and automated machinery, as well as setting up and operating various printers. The operator will ensure food products meet quality, safety, and consistency standards, maintain accurate production records, and contribute to a clean and efficient manufacturing environment. This is an on-site, 2nd shift position.

Requirements

• Experience in a regulated food manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to following consistent high-level standards.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and Dax 365.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality data systems.
• Analytical thinking, accuracy, and a strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work across departments and build relationships with Production, Maintenance, Quality, Warehouse, and other teams.
• Clear communication skills.
• Adaptability to shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Operate, set up, monitor, and run packaging machines as the final step of the production line.
• Set up and operate inkjet, laserjet, and Print & Apply printers.
• Assist in deviation investigations, including equipment inspections, swabbing, sample pulls, and documentation gathering.
• Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Warehouse teams to support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Work closely with Production, Maintenance, Warehouse, Quality, and Purchasing to ensure product quality and program compliance.
• Support equipment or process deviations, help locate warehouse samples, and verify that standards are maintained.
• Maintain accurate production records.
• Support a clean, efficient manufacturing environment.
