The primary function for the Line 405 Seasonal Crew, 3rd Shift, is to support the Line 400 Unassigned Crew in producing Little Debbie Cosmic products. Because this crew is being added to meet seasonal demand, employees may have questions about what happens after the holiday season. We want to be clear: employees hired into these positions will remain employed after the Christmas season and will continue to have a role within our operations. Once seasonal production demand decreases, these employees will return to their Line 400 Unassigned Crew roles and support production needs across the facility as business demands require. Team members may be assigned to different production lines based on operational needs. As permanent openings become available, employees will be considered for those opportunities. A Packaging Machine Operator (PMO) Line Support's primary role is to receive training and become proficient in specific rated positions as assigned by their direct supervisor. Additionally, the PMO Line Support must be capable of performing entry-level tasks such as catching, monitoring, palletizing, make-up, and/or wrapper room utility, along with other duties as needed. This role also involves filling in for absentees, providing training, and assisting other team members when required.

Requirements

Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
Basic math skills
Accurate measurement and conversion skills
Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds)
Demonstrated ability to promote continuous process improvement and LEAN principles
Attention to detail
Successfully complete PMO training and pass technical competencies

Nice To Haves

Previous machine operator experience (plastic film or wrap)
Accurate measurement and conversion skills
Good mechanical skills and/or previous technical training
Set-up, changeover, and troubleshooting ability

Responsibilities

Set-up, adjust, and maintain packaging equipment for production run
Perform required changeovers for product, code or packaging
Enter OPM11i data timely and accurately
Troubleshoot and make necessary adjustments to packaging equipment
Disassemble/assemble and clean equipment in the entire business unit for a full shift or more
Perform other duties including higher level jobs in the entire business unit as needed
Train employees as needed
Perform other duties in other areas as assigned
Support the Line 400 Unassigned Crew in producing Little Debbie Cosmic products
Return to Line 400 Unassigned Crew roles and support production needs across the facility as business demands require
Perform entry-level tasks such as catching, monitoring, palletizing, make-up, and/or wrapper room utility
Fill in for absentees
Provide training
Assist other team members
