A growing manufacturing facility in the Portland, TN area is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Packaging Operator for 2nd shift. This position is responsible for packaging finished products according to customer and quality specifications, ensuring products are properly labeled, protected, and prepared for shipment. The ideal candidate works efficiently, maintains quality standards, and follows all safety procedures.
Requirements
- Ability to follow written instructions and work orders

- Reliable attendance and punctuality required

- Previous manufacturing or packaging experience preferred
- Basic math and counting skills preferred
Responsibilities
- Package finished products according to work orders and customer requirements
- Inspect products for defects, damage, or quality concerns before packaging
- Apply labels, tags, and identification markings accurately
- Ensure packaging materials are used correctly to protect products during transport
- Stack, wrap, and prepare finished goods for shipping or storage
- Monitor packaging equipment and report any issues
- Maintain production pace while meeting quality standards
- Complete production and packaging documentation accurately
- Keep work area clean, organized, and safe
- Follow all company safety procedures and policies
