About The Position

The Packaging Lead assists in managing activities associated with filling and packaging products. The position leads packaging and filling rooms, coordinates workers, supports safe and efficient operations, and helps ensure product quality and adherence to standard procedures. The role is based onsite in a temperature-controlled pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Johnson City, Tennessee, on a weekend shift. It requires extended periods of standing and walking, wearing required protective equipment, and occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds. The employee must also be available to respond to critical shift issues outside scheduled hours as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing facility.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with people from all backgrounds.
Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
Basic math skills.
Consistent and punctual attendance.
Proficiency with standard computer software and hardware.
Quality-driven with good attention to detail and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel in following policies and procedures.
Lead packaging and filling rooms and coordinate the activities of workers engaged in filling and packaging products.
Evaluate and improve work processes and resolve problem areas.
Ensure product quality through adherence to SOPs and staff training.
Assist with staffing production areas and ensure employees are committed to maximizing efficiency and productivity.
Review batch record entries.
Calculate finished-goods yield.
Keep the production process flowing smoothly.
Conform to cGMP procedures and Standard Operating Procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
