About The Position

Join our dynamic team in Rockford, IL as a Packaging/Labeling Technician I and play a vital role in the manufacturing of high-quality antibody and immunoassay products. This is a contract position on the 2nd/Swing shift (8am-4:30pm Mon & Fri; 12pm-8:30pm Tues-Thurs), ideal for detail-oriented individuals eager to launch or advance a career in regulated manufacturing and laboratory operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Keen attention to detail and ability to follow precise work instructions.
  • Basic computer proficiency; readiness to learn inventory and labeling software.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.
  • Basic mathematical and scientific calculation skills.
  • Commitment to safety, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in manufacturing, production, warehouse, operations, or laboratory settings.
  • Familiarity with ISO-certified, cGMP, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to master new manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately receive, document, and inventory incoming materials using digital inventory management systems.
  • Package, label, verify, and stock finished products while adhering to SOPs, quality standards, and Good Documentation Practices.
  • Support continuous improvement by following Lean, 5S, and Practical Process Improvement methodologies.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to meet daily production targets.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment, consistently using required PPE.
  • Perform repetitive hand movements and lift packages up to 25 lbs regularly, with occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
