REISER is seeking an experienced field service technician to install new equipment and provide routine maintenance/service to their customers. The ideal candidate will have strong electro-mechanical skills, a customer service-oriented personality, and be smart, energetic, hard-working, and enjoy their work. Requirements

  • Two plus years of maintenance experience -- servicing, troubleshooting and repair of electro-mechanical machinery.
  • Practical application of mechanical and electrical engineering principles and techniques to ensure equipment performance at manufacturers specifications.
  • Basic knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic power systems, conveyor systems, or control systems.
  • Initiative, critical thinking, complex problem solving, judgement and decision making, persistence, attention to detail, adaptability, flexibility, concern for others and leadership.
  • 80% travel during the week – mostly by automobile or plane.
  • Candidates may reside within a 1.5 hour commute of any major airport.

Nice To Haves

  • Food Packaging Machinery experience is desired.
  • Bilingual English-Spanish skills are a bonus.

Responsibilities

  • Install new packaging machinery equipment.
  • Provide preventive maintenance for equipment.
  • Perform on-site equipment repair.
  • Travel 80% (during the week) away from home visiting food plants.
  • Read diagrams, schematic drawings, engineering specifications, and service manuals to determine work procedures.
  • Engage with customers on site, analyze equipment performance, troubleshoot to isolate problems, and determine actions needed to restore system to performance specifications.
  • Share information with team members, customers, and supervisor to help prioritize and keep customers apprised of corrective actions and equipment status.
  • Inform customers of routine preventive maintenance techniques.
  • Participate as necessary in new projects to install or improve the safety and performance of existing and new equipment.
