Requirements

  • Discretion and confidentiality when dealing with personnel issues
  • PC literate
  • Packaging software’s and applications
  • Understand and work to all SOP’s, WI’s
  • Actively participate in projects and activities
  • Strong mathematics and business experience or equivalent training required.
  • Previous warehouse/distribution experience and demonstrated skills in a lead role required.
  • Must have strong communication, mathematic, analytical, PC skills required.
  • Must be flexible and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to interface with all levels of personnel and work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Works scheduled hours and is ready to work at designated start times.
  • As business needs dictates, works extended hours to complete daily department goals or tasks to include mandatory Saturdays.
  • Works scheduled holidays in order to maintain service levels for Customers.
  • Immediately informs Supervisor of safety, sanitation, and equipment malfunctions.
  • Adapts readily to changes in workload, staffing and scheduling.
  • Acknowledges and Complies with all company policies and procedures and all SOP’s, WI’s.
  • Regular contact with co-workers, quality assurance, and management
  • Exhibits strong communication skills, verbal, written and comprehension of the English language.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree preferred (i.e. Business Management, Business Administration, Engineering, and Manufacturing Technology).

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the department service levels are maintained and when able exceeding.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational requirements including department targets, OEE and Yield metrics are met.
  • Monitor, motivate and develop team members performance.
  • Develop team members through training and identifying the needs for continued success.
  • Investigate and respond to problems in relation to equipment, material or process communicating issues to supervisor and department to ensure minimum disruption and maximum service levels.
  • Provide support to your supervisor through feedback on performance, personnel issues, areas for concern and training needs on a regular basis.
  • Ensuring that proper location transfers are done systematically/physically ensuring location accuracy.
  • Investigate NCR’s to lead to successful root cause and identification for training or process needs.
  • Assist the supervisor in developing a fully integrated Lean Culture through one to one, team and shift interactions.
  • Consistently monitor RedZone and OEE in support of daily/shift business and customer goals.
  • Follow 5s standards and ensure area/team is adhering to them.
  • Provide input and as needed deliver team meetings in absence of supervisor.
  • Conduct a handover to the incoming team providing information as appropriate to ensure a smooth transition from one shift to the another.
  • Awareness and understanding of departmental costs and promote cost saving philosophy.
  • Manage the introduction of new product, processes, systems and machines effectively to include documentation, process accuracy and training needs for team.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Benefits

  • The starting base pay for this role is between $19.17 and $23.17 per hour and may include cost of living adjustments.
  • This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits.
