About The Position

Catalent’s Kansas City facility is home to our Oral & Specialty Drug Delivery, Biologics Analytical Services and Clinical Supply Services businesses. We have an opportunity for a Packaging Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will support clinical trial projects through the packaging of clinical trial supplies while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), and standard operating procedures (SOPs). You will ensure readiness for primary or secondary packaging jobs and manage inventory receipt and control after job completion. This position plays a key role in maintaining quality and accuracy throughout the packaging process.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift up to 35 pounds
  • Occasional requirement to work in cold environment to fill orders (walk-in refrigerator/freezer)

Nice To Haves

  • 3-5 years of clinical trial packaging or related pharmaceutical operations experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety guidelines
  • Ensure packaging job readiness by coordinating with storage facility, label control, and quality assurance personnel for packaging material and component requests
  • Prepare packaging batch record documentation in compliance with standard operating procedures and current Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Accurately review packaging batch records prior to packaging process to ensure processing instructions are followed in accordance with standard operating procedures
  • Receive completed outputs from packaging job into electronic inventory system
  • Perform adjustments in inventory system to accurately reflect packaging job activities
  • Prepare materials to return to storage facility
  • Update electronic changeover reports and metrics trackers
  • Ensure that any corrections to the packaging batch record are completed accurately
  • Maintain a high-quality standard of work by reporting any deviations to packaging instructions or procedures to management
  • Respond to questions and provide guidance to other packaging staff
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
