About The Position

We’re looking for a Packaging Clerk to package materials according to government and commercial requirements and support shipping, inventory, and material-handling activities. The role works under the general guidance of a Supervisor and Transportation personnel and may involve flexing to other departments. The salary starts at $20 per hour.

Requirements

Good communication skills.
Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in packaging and labeling.
Time-management skills and ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines.
Ability to stand for long periods and lift packages up to 50 lbs.
Manual dexterity to handle small parts and packaging materials effectively.
Ability to understand instructions and communicate effectively with team members.
Basic computer skills, including familiarity with inventory management systems and email.
Problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues quickly.
Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to handle various tasks and changing priorities.
Must obtain certification to operate material-handling equipment.

Responsibilities

Package materials according to government and commercial requirements.
Maintain a general understanding of pack and marks.
Attend meetings with the shipping department.
Obtain certification to operate material-handling equipment.
Perform daily standard work and 5S activities.
Perform other related duties as assigned, including flexing to other departments.
Verify shipping data and products for quality and accuracy.
Clean as you go and maintain packaging inventory areas.
Perform material-handling duties related to job tasks.
Pull and stock production kits, MRO, and line supplies.
Pack under the general guidance of the Supervisor and Transportation personnel.
