About The Position

The Packaging Associate ensures that production assignments are met in a timely manner. This role involves working on an assembly line that fills bottles and jars with product, performing repetitive tasks such as capping containers and packing finished products into shipping cases. The associate will also be responsible for labeling containers, preparing cartons and shipping cases, checking lot numbers and expiration dates, and moving packaged products to the staging area. Maintaining a clean work area and communicating production issues to supervisors are also key duties. The role may require working in other departments as needed and adhering to cGMP and SOP procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Consistent and punctual attendance.
• Must be quality driven with good attention to detail but also be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Work on assembly line that fills bottles, jars, etc. with product which requires a lot of repetitive tasks and job functions, from putting lids/caps on container to putting finished product in shipping case.
• Label containers
• Unfold cartons to prepare for production
• Place tubes, inserts inside carton as it moves along conveyor
• Prepare shipping cases by unfolding case and using tape dispenser to close bottom of box
• Check for lot number/expiration date on container
• Package all finished product and move to staging area.
• Keep area clean and neat.
• Notify lead person/supervisor of production issues.
• Work in other departments or areas as needed.
• Follow all cGMP procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
