About The Position

This role involves operating forklifts to distribute product to customers, unload trailers, and move product from the Sealing Line to the warehouse. The associate must be committed to SQF, GMP, and Food Safety standards, and will report to the Warehouse Manager. The position requires performing various warehouse duties including trailer inspections, operating PIT equipment, completing load sheets accurately, managing bay consolidations, participating in physical inventory, assisting truck drivers, maintaining housekeeping, meeting daily goals, and operating scanners for various tasks. The associate must be able to load and unload trailers, work in all warehouse areas as needed, and perform daily condition checks on forklifts. Reporting food safety issues to supervision is also a key responsibility.

  • Ability to lift: 25 pounds/Max.
  • Employees may wear corrective lenses (with protective safety over glasses) PPE or use our Safety Prescription Program.
  • Must have close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Complete trailer inspections reports for all assigned loads per plant sanitation standards.
  • Operate PIT equipment per OSHA specifications, including daily inspections, securing dock plates, and chocking trailer wheels.
  • Complete all assigned load sheets (Shipping orders) accurately and neatly via Barcode scanners, including pulling correct product, ensuring proper labels, stacking cases per requirements, documenting product pulled and loaded, and documenting variations from the original shipping order.
  • Notify Warehouse Manager/Assistant of any damaged cases.
  • Perform Bay Consolidations, including reorganizing similar product, restacking product within a bay, and correcting Oracle inventory system data.
  • Participate in the Annual Physical Inventory Process.
  • Assist truck drivers with trailer location, directions to restrooms and vending area, and paperwork pickup.
  • Perform housekeeping functions to keep the Warehouse neat and organized on a daily basis.
  • Meet daily departmental goals assigned by Supervisor or Management.
  • Operate forklift in a safe and efficient manner around others in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Operate scanners through various job tasks such as shipping, s-line, receiving, and product consolidation.
  • Load and unload various size trailers while meeting departmental goals.
  • Be affiliated with all aspects of the Warehouse including shipping, receiving, and s-line and able to work in any area when needed.
  • Perform daily condition checks on forklifts and turn them in.
  • Report all food safety issues to Supervisor/Manager.
