About The Position

The Packaging Associate supports manufacturing, warehouse, and production operations by moving materials, preparing shipments, and packaging finished goods and production materials. The role involves hands-on work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, operating lift trucks and other material-handling equipment after training, and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area. This is described as a stable, full-time opportunity with on-the-job training and opportunities to grow skills in manufacturing and logistics.

Requirements

Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
Comfort working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Strong attention to safety and detail.
Ability to learn and operate lift trucks safely.
Ability to mount and dismount lift trucks throughout the shift.
Adequate depth perception and spatial awareness.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Move materials from manufacturing lines and storage areas to assigned work-in-progress (WIP) locations.
Prepare and build custom shipping crates, strap and package finished goods and production materials for shipment.
Remove and properly dispose of pallets, cardboard, and other shipping materials.
Complete daily lift truck inspection check sheets.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Operate lift trucks and other material-handling equipment after training.
Support production and warehouse operations with additional duties as assigned.
