About The Position

Stefanini Group is hiring a Packaging Associate in Saint Joseph, MO. This role is responsible for the smooth operation of the production line, including case packaging, component handling, pallet jack operation, labeling, and packaging. The associate will ensure correct components, coding, and labels are maintained, control product quality, and maintain a safe and clean working area. Stefanini is a global provider of outsourcing, IT digital consulting, systems integration, application, and strategic staffing services.

Requirements

Ability to lift 40-60 lbs. 20-30 times per hour.
Stand 8-9 hours per day.
Frequent bending.
Minimal climbing.
Physically able to work on feet and lift maximum of 50 lbs. for extended periods of time.
Ability to read and understand production documents, SDS, and safety information required.
Workers must provide steel toe/composite safety boots/shoes.

Responsibilities

Manual case erecting, packing, and stacking on a pallet.
Oversee smooth operation of production line including case packaging, component handling, pallet jack operation, labeling, and packaging.
Maintain smooth line operation through continuous improvements, cleaning, and settings.
Check that components and codes comply with recipe of current production.
Control product quality through communicating item damage or off-spec condition that exists to QC.
Recommend maintenance or changes as necessary to assure continuous production.
Maintain safe working area by keeping clutter from accumulating, continuous cleaning.
Wear required PPE (personal protective equipment) as directed by safety manager.
Maintain warehouse equipment to assure safe and efficient operation.
Be dependable. Report on time to your position every day, giving as much notice as possible of absences.
Be available for production on a daily basis as necessary.
Other duties as directed by Plant Manager.
