About The Position

Responsible for general assembly tasks associated with the packaging of quality cheese products.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and understand instructions.
• Maintain good sanitation and housekeeping practices.
• Comply with all quality system and regulatory requirements.
• Work in a safe and efficient manner.
• Requires regular attendance.
• Ability to manipulate, lift and position heavy equipment
• Able to bend, stoop, kneel and crawl, occasionally climb steps and safety ladders, continuous walking and standing
• Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50lbs

Responsibilities

• Manually apply cheese and ingredients to the appropriate production line
• Perform manual packaging tasks such as bagging/wrapping/labeling/boxing/palletizing
• Restock packaging materials into machines such as boxes/tape/glue/film
• Monitor production flow, remove bad product as needed and potentially reapply it to the line
• Assist coworkers in tasks
• Verify production quality and accuracy
• Handle and use cleaning chemicals and perform sanitation duties
• Other duties as assigned
