About The Position

This job is responsible for operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining all packaging equipment and personnel assigned to Line 1, Line 2 and Line 3. This job is responsible for working with the Packaging Supervisor and Packaging Area Coordinators to lead and manage the activities of the packaging department.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Must be able to read, understand, and communicate in a manner to successfully perform the job duties.
  • Must be able to perform basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication and counting).
  • Must be able to perform basic computer skills (turn computer on, use a mouse, save a document, and open a file or program).
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs in a safe and proper manner.
  • Must be able to use up to 50 pounds of push/pull force needed to push/pull barrels weighing up to 450 lbs using a rolling device.
  • Must be able to maneuver in close quarters and climb stairs and ladders.
  • Must be able to stand on concrete floors for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to work in extreme environments: hot or cold temperatures and wet and slick floors.
  • Must be able to work with and around hazardous chemicals wearing appropriate PPE, includes but not limited to, full wetsuit, boots, chemical gloves and face shield or goggles.

Responsibilities

  • Printing tickets and placing them on pallets and totes of product using the inventory control system.
  • Maintaining records of production and held and reworked product.
  • Cleaning food contact surfaces, floors, framework and the remainder of the assigned work area.
  • Managing and directing the team in accomplishing safe and efficient palletizing of product.
  • Transporting of product and supplies.
  • Ensuring all paperwork, forms, reports, and computer data entry are completed and submitted in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Complying with all sanitation standards.
