About The Position

This role is responsible for verifying the quantity, quality, and labeling of products ready for shipment. The Packager will ensure correct box types, liners, and packing methods are used, assemble boxes, affix labels, and examine products for conformance to customer specifications. Additionally, the Packager will palletize boxes onto correct pallets according to customer specifications. This is a 2nd shift position, Monday-Friday, 3:15pm-11:45pm, with overtime required based on production needs. The pay rate is $16.50/hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form.
Basic knowledge of computers and the ability to input data into a computer.
Lift 25-50 pounds up to 7 feet high 150-300 times during the shift.
Stand and/or walk for the duration of the shift.
Use hands to finger, grip, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
Talk and hear.
Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

Verifies quantity, quality, and labeling of products ready for shipment.

Examines packs, cups, or bottles and contents of items for conformance to customer specifications.
