The Packager is responsible for all production activities within the packaging program, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the packaging process to meet production targets.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be able to obtain EPA 608 Certification
  • Must be available to work at least 40 hours per week and be available for overtime hours
  • Must have high attention to detail to receive, inspect, and certify incoming and outgoing cylinders
  • Must be able to follow standard operating procedures
  • Must be able to handle high-pressure and liquid cylinders
  • Frequently pushes, pulls, moves and/or lifts up to 50 pounds independently
  • Sitting 10% of the day; standing and/or walking 80-90% of the time
  • Lifting/Carrying from one level to another approximately 20%
  • Occasionally moves cylinders that weigh up to 200 pounds with four-wheel cart
  • Frequently ascends/descends stairs and/or ladders, occasionally carrying materials weighing up to 30lbs
  • Frequently identifies written information on cylinders such as serial numbers, manufacture date, etc.
  • Frequently operates a computer using a traditional keyboard to input detailed information such as serial numbers
  • Manipulations (seizing, holding, grasping or otherwise working with hands) up to 50-75% of the day
  • Frequently drives a motorized vehicle or powered industrial truck (i.e. Forklift) and safely maneuvers in restrictive spaces
  • Stooping and kneeling up to 20% of the day
  • Frequently communicates detailed information to others. Must be able to exchange accurate information that others can understand.
  • Constantly works in environments with uncontrolled climate and frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working with compressed gas and/or gas cylinders is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Operating packaging equipment, including process pumps, compressors, warehousing equipment, and forklifts.
  • Reporting any faults and maintenance issues to ensure site safety and product quality.
  • Encouraging and participating in a Health and Safety culture to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Working in accordance with all company policies relating to health and safety and carrying out tasks in a safe manner as detailed in the standard operational procedures.
  • Communicating with logistics to ensure that all bulk and packaged deliveries are executed in accordance with customer requirements.
  • Ensuring that quality control is implemented on a constant basis.
  • Personally following all operational processes and carrying out quality control checks and ensuring the close inspection of work activities of the team.
  • Reinforcing the importance of the Awareness policy to site personnel, in order to keep the smooth and safe running of workshop operations.
  • Carrying out checks of incoming products and materials, and site generated AHRI and customer drums.
  • Carrying out operational activities including preparing, filling, picking, and dispatching cylinders.
  • Performing any other tasks as required.
