About The Position

The Packager packages finished food products at the end of the manufacturing process. The role checks packaging materials and product date and weight, seals packages and boxes, inspects products and packaging for compliance with company specifications, removes defective products from the production line, and assembles containers. The Packager maintains a clean, organized work area and follows company safety guidelines and Good Manufacturing Practices. Regular attendance and punctuality are required. The position is performed in a refrigerated food manufacturing plant, where conditions are wet and cold and temperatures range from 25°F to 110°F. Work involves repetitive hand, wrist, and finger activities; repetitive lifting, kneeling, and bending with items weighing more than 20 pounds; and extended periods of walking and standing. Production needs may require overtime and evening or weekend scheduling.

Check that packaging boxes and containers are correct.
