Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years of related experience preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
  • Computer knowledge as well as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook knowledge.
  • Customer focused.
  • Team oriented.
  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, talk or hear.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move 75 pounds.
  • The employee is frequently exposed to a high noise level.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare items for shipment to customers by putting items in boxes or pallets and banding.
  • Mark boxes of material with part numbers and job names.
  • Move materials and items to shipping or to other designated areas.
  • Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves or bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code in shipping and receiving area.
  • Ensures warehouse is accessible and safe for employee or customer traffic.
  • Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or relocating orders to a holding area or shipping department.
  • Assist shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching packing lists.
  • Organizes warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.
  • Keep an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all times.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
