Packager-2nd Shift Crumble
About The Position
Klondike Cheese Co. is seeking a full-time Packager for their 2nd shift at their Monroe, WI location. This role involves preparing supplies and labels, accurately completing required paperwork, and operating packaging equipment to fill bags or containers with crumbled cheese product. The packager will be responsible for verifying product codes, materials, and proper seals, attaching labels, and palletizing finished products. Other duties include cleaning and sanitizing equipment and work areas, loading cheese into processing equipment, and inspecting products for quality and conformity. The position requires observing machine operations, clearing jams, and reporting malfunctions to a supervisor. Requirements
- Must be willing to work overtime as needed
- A good attendance record is required
- Candidate must be a team player
- Employees are required to stand the duration of the shift, with frequent and repetitive bending, stooping, turning, reaching, grasping and lifting up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities
- Preparing supplies and labels
- Completing required paperwork accurately
- Taking cheese from totes and placing onto conveyors
- Operating packaging equipment to fill bags or containers with crumbled product
- Verifying product codes and materials for accuracy
- Checking containers for proper seals
- Attaching labels to products
- Putting products onto pallets
- Stacking pallets
- Cleaning and sanitizing equipment, conveyors and packaging areas
- Load cheese products into package processing equipment
- Clean containers, materials, supplies, or work areas, using cleaning solutions and hand tools
- Verify and record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records
- Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products to ensure that packing specifications are met
- Sort, weigh, and inspect products, verifying and adjusting product weight or measurement to meet specifications
- Verify accuracy and correctness of product identification labels and attach to finished packaged items
- Remove finished packaged items from machine and separate rejected items
- Inspect and remove defective products and packaging material
- Palletize packaged product
- Move pallets of cheese and totes in and out of production areas
- Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of filled or packaged products to standards
- Tend or operate machine that packages product
- Stop or reset machines when malfunctions occur, clear machine jams, and report malfunctions to a supervisor
- Other related additional duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager
