About The Position

The IND Packager position is responsible for ensuring produced parts meet specifications and quality standards. This position blocks and packages batteries by wrapping and banding the product, to help support the quality and function of the product produced.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age
Experience with safety and environmental training
Minimum 1 year manufacturing/factory experience preferred in a fast-paced setting
Basic math and computer skills
Ability to use some hand tools
Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving, prior battery assembly experience preferred
Electric Power Jack Certification

Responsibilities

Understanding and following policies, procedures and instructions.
Identifying and reporting product, process and quality system non-conformities to lead personnel.
Supporting implementation of corrective/preventative and improvement actions.
Proper use of personal protective equipment when required.
Proper housekeeping of the work area.
Follows all plant safety guidelines, practices, and procedures including the proper use of personal protective equipment where required.
Have an Electric Power Jack Certification.
Operate a framing nailer.
Operate 3-ton hoist.
Clean and package battery with all correct documentation.
Follow Work Order for any proper vents, accessories.
Quality checks on cells to ensure proper voltage and gravity before packaging.
Be familiar and compliant with the systems, procedures, and documentation of the Crown Quality System and how it relates to this position and Crown quality objectives.
