Job Summary: The product packager is responsible for packing and/or boxing product for shipment to fulfill work orders and providing the final inspection point of the order.

Requirements

  • Basic Packaging skills such as using hand tools, tape machine, and packaging materials.
  • Knowledge of materials, production processes, quality control, and completion of training.
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Outlook and RF Scanning.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to work well in fast paced environment with frequently changing dynamics.
  • Strong communication skills and desire to work with other team members.
  • Ability to work a consistent schedule.
  • Ability to move freight, stock, or other materials weighing up to 50 lbs. to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, by hand or using trucks, tractors, or other equipment.
  • Ability to stand for sustained periods of time.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • At least 1 years’ experience related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures that all the orders are accurately boxed with correct products, packing materials, and correct label(s).
  • Assembles or selects the appropriate box for the order.
  • Examines and inspects material and product for defects and to ensure that packing specifications are met.
  • Reads orders to verify compliance to special customer requirements.
  • Prints packing slip and attaches to box with shipping envelope (or uses customer provided packing slip when applicable).
  • Keeps packaging area clean and tidy daily.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by direct supervisor.
