About The Position

Mako Industries is seeking a Packager & Laser Engraver supports Instrument Fitters and shop operations by preparing, engraving, packaging, labeling, and organizing instrumentation components and finished assemblies for shipment or inventory. This role assists with maintaining workflow efficiency, product identification accuracy, and overall shop cleanliness and organization.

Requirements

Previous experience in manufacturing, packaging, engraving, or industrial shop environment preferred.
Ability to read work orders, labels, and basic drawings.
Basic computer skills for operating engraving software and printing labels.
Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Operate laser engraving equipment to mark instrument tags, nameplates, labels, and components according to work orders and customer specifications.
Verify engraving information for accuracy before production.
Package completed instrumentation assemblies, fittings, tubing, and components for shipment or storage.
Label packages and materials according to company and customer requirements.
Assist Instrument Fitters with material preparation, staging, cleaning, and handling of components.
Maintain inventory of packaging supplies, tags, labels, and engraving materials.
Organize shop materials, tools, and work areas to support efficient production flow.
Perform quality checks on engraved items and packaged products.
Safely operate shop equipment and follow all company safety procedures.
Assist with receiving, stocking, and moving materials as needed.
Maintain accurate records of completed work orders and shipments.
