About The Position
Package handlers are frontline employees responsible for sorting packages into the correct routes to support proper delivery timelines. They work as part of a team to complete behind-the-scenes warehouse operations safely and successfully. GLS is seeking people who prioritize safety and quality and can work at a fast pace. The role includes scanning and sorting packages, loading and unloading trucks, operating forklifts and pallet jacks, following warehouse safety guidelines, and keeping the work area clean and organized.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to lift 75 pounds.
- Must be willing to follow instructions and accept supervision.
- Must maintain a positive attitude toward work and cooperate with coworkers and supervisors.
- Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Responsibilities
- Scan and/or sort packages.
- Load and unload trucks.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Comply with warehouse safety rules and guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
