About The Position

Western International is hiring Class A CDL packaged gas truck drivers in Birmingham, Alabama. Drivers haul cylinders of compressed gases and make regional deliveries to customers. The position offers year-round work with no down periods. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with start times between 4 a.m. and 6 a.m. and two layovers per week.

Requirements

• Hold a Class A CDL and a current DOT medical card.
• Have 2 years of Class A CDL experience, or 1.5 years of experience with certification from an accredited trucking school.
• Have prior experience driving a manual 10-speed transmission and pass the road test.
• Hold current Hazmat certification.
• Have no more than 1 traffic violation in the last 2 years.
• Have no at-fault accidents in the last 2 years.
• Have no DUI/DWI in the last 5 years, with a maximum of 1 lifetime.
• Pass a DOT physical, DOT drug test, and criminal background check.
