P6 Scheduler
About The Position
We are seeking a P6 Scheduler to join our Energy Market Team in Birmingham, AL. Your role will involve developing, maintaining, and optimizing detailed project schedules. You will monitor schedule performance and variance, providing regular status updates to the project manager. A key part of this role is performing Critical Path Analysis, identifying and analyzing critical paths/activities to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, including forecasting delays and evaluating alternative scenarios. You will also lead schedule update and review meetings, identify schedule risks and opportunities, and analyze schedule impacts resulting from change orders or scope modifications. Additionally, you will support cost/schedule integration, including contractor schedules, and collaborate with Project Controls to ensure accurate progress measurement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction, Quantity Surveying, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of scheduling experience using Primavera P6.
- Must have a strong understanding of CPM concepts and calculations.
- Must be highly articulate, have clear and analytical approach to problem solving, and strong decision‑making abilities.
- Must have excellent communication and presentation skills.
