About The Position

As a P&D Driver, you pick up, transport, and deliver freight locally and serve as a regular customer-facing representative of Southeastern Freight Lines. You operate a tractor-trailer in various conditions and perform vehicle operations such as coupling and uncoupling, connecting lines, and adjusting equipment. The role includes inspecting vehicles, managing cargo loading and unloading, and ensuring transport documents are accurate and compliant, especially when handling hazardous materials. You must maneuver safely in challenging conditions, including heavy traffic and tight spaces, report incidents or delays, follow safety regulations and company policies, and provide professional customer service.

Requirements

At least 6 months of driving experience; 1 year is preferred.
High School Diploma or GED.
Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with HAZMAT, Tanker, and Twin Trailers endorsements and no automatic restrictions.
At least 21 years of age.
Ability to read, comprehend, and write in English.
Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations, handle receipts, read maps and road signs, and maintain driving logs.
Detailed knowledge of and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) rules, regulations, and guidelines, including safe driving, hours of service, vehicle inspections, and hazardous-material transportation requirements.
Meet DOT physical qualifications.
Pass alcohol and drug tests.
