The P&C Technician II performs work associated with the installation, testing, maintenance, and operation of all protection and control (P&C) devices and related equipment under direct, immediate, or general supervision. Such devices and equipment include digital microprocessor relays, electromechanical relays, other intelligent electronic devices, oscillographs and event recorders, remote terminal units (RTU), station control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems, statistical load metering, telemetering and transducers, as well as power line carriers (PLC), tone, pilot wire, fiber, and associated P&C communications equipment. The team also responds to emergency callouts and coordinates prompt restoration of service to customers as required. This role involves performing miscellaneous, related, and incidental work in addition to the specifically outlined duties. Supervision levels are defined as Direct (hands-on), Immediate (near and in constant contact), and General (knowledgeable person not necessarily on-site). A Qualified Person is a P&C Technician or Supervisor knowledgeable and capable of performing the work and emergency rescue.
