This role involves providing daily support to P&C Lead Marketers and Producers, reviewing and inputting insurance quoted data, communicating with inter-company departments and insurance company underwriters, sending submissions to insurance companies, following up with insurance companies, checking insurance quotes against policies for accuracy and coverage, preparing proposal packages, and participating in meetings with insurance companies to gain knowledge. The role also includes office administration and file management, documenting correspondence, keeping client files organized, and teamwork with other departments. Additionally, it requires determination to meet department and agency education goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as rules, instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
• Knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
• Must be able to obtain insurance licenses and designations as set forth by the organization's education plans.

Responsibilities

• Provides daily support to P&C Lead Marketers and Producers.
• Reviewing, updating, inputting insurance quoted data into excel spreadsheet and to ensure submissions are complete and correct before they are submitted to the insurance markets.
• Communicating with inter-company departments & insurance company underwriters regarding needed information.
• Sending submissions to insurance companies.
• Following up with insurance companies to make sure they have adequate information.
• Checking insurance quotes against policies for accuracy and coverage.
• Pulls and prepares completed proposal packages and edits as necessary.
• Participating in meetings with insurance companies to obtain knowledge of each company.
• Learning all Commercial Lines service standards and procedures.
• Documenting all correspondence, following up for necessary information updates at appropriate times and keeping the client files organized and up to date.
• Works together with team and with other departments; this includes conferencing with Producer or Account Executive to discuss the execution of strategies.
• Manages PTO to work with departmental needs.
• Volunteers to back up and/or assist others as needed.
• Completes special projects as assigned by the manager.
• Displays commitment and initiative to meet department and agency education goals as set forth in the organization’s education program.
