About The Position

The People + Culture Manager serves as a key partner in supporting the employee experience and execution of human resources initiatives across the organization. This role oversees day-to-day HR operations, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, training, and teammate engagement programs. The People + Culture Manager works closely with leaders across the organization to provide guidance, ensure compliance, and foster a positive workplace culture aligned with Morales Group's mission and core values. The role also provides leadership and support to members of the People + Culture team and helps drive initiatives that improve teammate engagement, retention, and organizational effectiveness.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.
  • Previous experience handling employee relations, investigations, benefits administration, and employment law compliance.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state employment laws.
  • Experience with HRIS systems, reporting, and workforce analytics.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Experience leading projects, programs, or team members preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus but not required.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and teammates regarding workplace concerns, policy interpretation, and employment-related matters.
  • Conduct workplace investigations and support conflict resolution efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain knowledge of changing employment laws and recommend updates to policies and practices as needed.
  • Oversee unemployment claims, employment verifications, and HR compliance audits.
  • Manage I-9 and E-Verify compliance processes.
  • Administer employee benefit programs, including health, welfare, retirement, and leave programs.
  • Serve as primary contact for benefit vendors and assist teammates with benefit-related questions.
  • Support annual open enrollment planning and execution.
  • Partner with payroll and finance teams on benefit deductions, reporting, and related processes.
  • Monitor and improve HR processes, systems, and documentation.
  • Provide oversight and support for recruiting, selection, and onboarding activities.
  • Partner with hiring managers to ensure an effective hiring process and positive candidate experience.
  • Support workforce planning and internal talent development efforts.
  • Assist with onboarding and new teammate orientation programs.
  • Coordinate performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development planning.
  • Support leadership development and employee training initiatives.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve employee engagement and retention.
  • Prepare and analyze HR metrics and reports related to turnover, retention, recruiting, benefits, engagement, and workforce trends.
  • Utilize data to identify opportunities for improvement and support decision-making.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all employee and organizational information.
  • Participate in employee engagement, wellness, recognition, and culture initiatives.
  • Support company events and special projects as assigned.
  • Perform other related duties as needed.
