About The Position

WTW is seeking a professional with extensive Canadian P&C insurance and reinsurance actuarial experience to join the Canadian P&C team of WTW’s Insurance Consulting and Technology (ICT) business. In this role, you will play a leading part in a globally recognized, industry-leading consulting team, providing high value-added consulting, reserving, capital, pricing and technology insights to clients, developing and applying state-of-the-art intellectual property, and contributing to the growth of our Canadian practice. ICT provides a powerful combination of advisory services for insurance companies, integrated with leading-edge technology solutions and software, all underpinned by unparalleled analytical capability. We are a globally recognized leader in P&C insurance and reinsurance reserving, capital, pricing and insurance transformation, delivering robust and innovative solutions to clients across the industry facing a complex and evolving landscape. Our goal is to continue to position reserving, capital and pricing as drivers of value to Canadian P&C insurers through market insights, state-of-the-art analytics, process excellence, effective communication and technology-enabled delivery, and to further establish the WTW flagship technology solutions including ResQ, Igloo, Unify and Radar as key enablers of the modern reserving, capital modeling and pricing functions.

Requirements

  • Extensive Canadian P&C insurance and reinsurance actuarial experience

Responsibilities

  • Deliver superior, consistent project management for assigned clients
  • Serve as the day-to-day project lead, ensuring the progress of the team against established objectives, budget, timeline, deliverables and quality standards
  • Draft statements of work, project plans and budgets involving multiple workflow streams and client teams
  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with client contacts through effective communication and efficient, quality execution of projects
  • Manage client expectations and raise appropriate issues to Client Relationship Managers
  • Interface with colleagues from other practices and regions on assignments that reflect the client’s broader business issues
  • Contribute to the development of intellectual capital (new tools and approaches)
  • Coordinate with colleagues within and outside of team to deepen team’s knowledge
  • Assist in developing new business opportunities and enhancing existing relationships
  • Directly contribute to clients’ success through applying your technical expertise
  • Build relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams
  • Foster a strong community of analysts through coaching, mentorship and technical leadership
