We are currently seeking an Oxygen Clinician to join our team in the Greater Toronto Area on a contract basis! The duty of an Oxygen Clinician (RRT or RN) is to educate and provide quality healthcare services to homecare and institutional clients. This includes initiating prescribed oxygen therapy, performing in-home respiratory assessments, educating clients on their disease process and on safe use of therapeutic equipment, conducting follow-up care to ensure the proper functioning of equipment as well as to ensure optimal client therapy. This position may also include performing tracheostomy care in the community as well a component of CPAP therapy to clients diagnosed with sleep apnea.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy or Nursing program
  • Registration, in good standing, with the respective professional regulating body (CRTO, CNO)
  • Valid G driver’s license with satisfactory driving record
  • Demonstrate clinical assessment and documentation skills
  • Excellent customer service and written/verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work as a team and under minimal supervision
  • Occasional lifting is required (up to 50 lbs)
  • Ability to work as part of an on-call rotation.

Responsibilities
