About The Position

Universal Logistics is seeking skilled Owner/Operator Truck Drivers for their Charlotte, NC terminal. This role is crucial for the safe and timely delivery of freight, contributing to the company's reputation for quality service. Universal Intermodal services major US Ports and intermodal Rail Ramps, offering domestic door-to-door drayage. They operate from 40 terminals and eight container yards, providing Chassis, Containers, Drayage, and Services for Imports, Exports, and Domestic moves.

Requirements

• 6 months or more of tractor-trailer experience
• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) Class A required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• 2005 or newer tractor

Responsibilities

• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules efficiently.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicle systems and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records and other expenses.
• Ensure compliance with all federal and state transportation regulations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status.
