About The Position

Pace is seeking an Owner/Operator/Independent Contractor Delivery Driver with a Box Truck in our Hammond, LA market for dedicated lanes. Join Pace's carrier network and grow your business with consistent, dedicated routes! We are specifically looking for someone with at least 1 truck and 2 drivers that would be open to slip seating routes. One driver would run at night and the other would run during the day. Average is $4500 per week on the low end; home daily! As a Box Truck Delivery Driver in Pace's Preferred Carrier Network, you will make deliveries on a multi-stop route in and around the Hammond market. Most routes are approximately 150-300 miles round trip and operate Monday through Friday. A typical delivery will include loading/unloading freight, delivery scanning, app usage to update your delivery statuses in real time, and getting your paperwork signed. Having excellent customer service and maintaining a high degree of safety and professionalism is a must as most of the deliveries are taking place with staff present.

Requirements

• Have your own working 24' - 26' Box Truck with Lift Gate.
• Meet insurance requirements - $1 million CGL, $1 million auto liability, $100,000 motor cargo
• Must meet MVR, background, and drug screening requirements.
• Drivers must be 21 or older.
• Must have active operating authority with the FMCSA

Responsibilities

• Load freight from warehouse and deliver to designated stores
• Scanning in each carton is required at delivery.
• Operate a pallet jack to load/unload the freight.
• Use Pace delivery app to track and document all deliveries.
• Exceed customer delivery requirements and specifications.
• Represent Pace in a professional and courteous manner.
• Be presentable and provide excellent customer service to customers.
